Under the new system introduced on 01/09/09, the trainee must not be assessed for a license in high risk work unless they have been enrolled and completed formal training from a Nationally Recognised unit of competence for that particular license class by an RTO, who has that class of license on there scope of registration.
The trainee will be required to undertake a pre-assessment at the completion of training, if successful the RTO will arrange for a WorkCover accreditated assessor to undertake an assessment for a National Certificate of Competency with trainee.
All training and assessment services comply with the national standard for licensing persons performing high risk work and 30498QLD Course in Operating Pressure Equipment.
